Youth constitute an important segment of society and is one of the biggest assets of the country. An investment in their development is an investment in future of the nation. Adolescence and early adulthood are pivotal developmental stages, during which many life-long health behaviors, beliefs and attitudes become established. During this stage people inculcate most of the values of their life. Inculcating positive values in youths may help them to live healthy life. At this stage, few young people divert from the socially accepted values and engage in high-risk behaviors such as; drinking, fast and rash driving, irregular sleeping and eating unhealthy food. These have long-term effects on their health and well-being. To avoid these types of circumstances and lead the young generation towards healthy life, proper guidance is needed. Evidence from around the world suggest that bringing about change among young people is vital in ensuring that future cohorts of young adults have the information and skills needed to protect themselves an enabling environment to help the youth to translate acquired information and skills into action.
